Impulse buying! Normally I associate that with shoes, or handbags. I think you will get more out of your impulse buys than you would a pair of fancy shoes or handbag, though.
Heehee, it was most definitely an impulse buy!
I am currently begging my husband for chicks for my birthday (the 24th of this month). Pleeeeeeeease....
Oh, I hope you get some!! If the begging doesn't work out for you, try buying them yourself and apologizing afterwards ;)
How could you NOT pick up the last two chickies? It wasn't like you had any choice in the matter, it was essential to your well being and theirs!
Yes, Carolyn, exactly!
Little peeper people are almost impossible to resist! Looks like your little one approves of them! :)
She is smitten with them! When I passed by them at the store (in an attempt to focus on getting what I actually came for), she threw her arms out toward them and pleaded, "chickies!!" as if to say, "Save them! The poor chickies!" Defenseless, I tell you. I was utterly defenseless.
Aw, what beauties.
I had a close call with 9 bantam chickies - good golly, they were cute! I doubt very much if I could have left those cuties behind - and they are lovely breeds, to boot!
If I could.. I think I would have done the same thing ;o)
We got a turkey one year because of that very same reason! We named him Rusty!
It simply cannot be avoided :-) Happy raising!!! And, happy almost Spring!
I am right there with you - I was at the feed store and the chirpping drew me in and before I knew it I was slapping my hands and running toward the check out counter to pay for my hay before I did something silly. I would rather purchase chicks then a handbag any day. I know I am not normal.
I was kind of eyeing the Cuckoo Maran in the hatchery catalog. Can't wait to see what yours looks like as it gets older.
