They look great. Do they give out much light when they burn?
Hi Kev, Yes, I think about the same as any candle. They burn a whole lot longer though!
I would love to try this sometime, they look beautiful, Jaime! (I bet they smell divine, too!). I think I read somewhere that burning beeswax candles clears/cleans the air?
Thanks, Christine! Yes, I've read that, too. They are very clean burning candles. I've been staying up way too late making them - so addictive :)
They look beautiful Jaime...well done! I love the smell of them burning...and our dog wants to eat them for some reason!
They do smell irresistibly yummy ;)
Beeswax candles are the best! I think yours turned out very nice! :)
I have to show my ignorance here and admit I had to Google "Candlemas" to find out what it was. My first thought was that it must be an American celebration, not celebrated in Australia. How embarrassed was I to find out it is a Christian celebration. My excuse for not knowing is that my religious upbringing was in the Presbyterian church, and they weren't big on celebrating much more than Christmas and Easter.Regardless, though, your candles look great! In a way, it will be a pity to burn them...'cause then they are gone.
True, except then I can make more!! ;)
Good for you! They look lovely and I bet it is so satisfying to see them burning.
Your candles are beautiful! They look wonderfully homemade. Iwould love to make some if you think you might like to share yourcandle recipe and how to with all of us sometime......Corinne
Thank you, Corinne! Yes, I will definitely share a tutorial of sorts after I get a little better at making them.
Another great post! Interesting that the beeswax burns so long. Bees are on my to do list too. :)
Love it! One day I will make my own candles...until then I'll look longingly at yours :-)
I'd like to try making these, too!
I an almost smell the beeswax from here! And what a lovely, deep honey color. I have said it before and I'll say it again (now, apparently): calm just overtakes me when I visit your little home here, Jaime. Thank you for sharing your sweet life with us.
Hello friend! Thank you for visiting and for your kind comments :)
