Joining Soulemama for: "{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember."
Wonderful! I often tell my little ones that I am their Mama Bird, and they are my little baby birds squeaking Feed Me Feed Me Feed Me! Happy Weekend to you and yours!
Thank you, Barbara! Ive been peeking in this robin's nest, which is nestled in a low branch on a really old tree. I happened to see one of her babies when she was out hunting for food, and snapped this photo with my portrait lens :)
Best "This Moment" ever! You've really captured something there.
When I was a kid I was helping my elderly grandmother work in her yard. She came over and grabbed my arm to get my attention. Silently she pointed to a nest right over my head where a mother bird was landing to feed her crowd of hatchlings. We stood together in silence for a moment, sharing a sight we both knew would be a bond between us always.
Then I remarked that she must have felt just like that mother bird when my mom and her siblings were small and she had a rowdy crowd of hungry mouths to feed. We got to enjoy a laugh as well. I really miss her. Thanks for reminding me of that important moment in my life.
oh my oh my.... what a stellar photograph. Some mornings I feel just the same.... wanting my mama to bring me breakfast in bed!!
