  4. Wow, I'm so impressed! That's an awesome shot. How did you get such a great shot? I bet your little one enjoyed seeing the baby bird!

Our shot is from my oldest's May Day celebration at Waldorf school: http://sustainingsimplicity.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/this-moment-may-day/

    1. Thank you, Barbara! Ive been peeking in this robin's nest, which is nestled in a low branch on a really old tree. I happened to see one of her babies when she was out hunting for food, and snapped this photo with my portrait lens :)

  6. Best "This Moment" ever! You've really captured something there.

When I was a kid I was helping my elderly grandmother work in her yard. She came over and grabbed my arm to get my attention. Silently she pointed to a nest right over my head where a mother bird was landing to feed her crowd of hatchlings. We stood together in silence for a moment, sharing a sight we both knew would be a bond between us always.

Then I remarked that she must have felt just like that mother bird when my mom and her siblings were small and she had a rowdy crowd of hungry mouths to feed. We got to enjoy a laugh as well. I really miss her. Thanks for reminding me of that important moment in my life.
