Did you know that babies (most especially ones who love to eat) are the most wonderful people to cook for? Every taste is new. Every texture an experience. Every bite so filled with the love of the cook.

I adore making a good spread for this baby of mine. It does my heart such good when her eyes light up, and her lips exclaim, "Ummm. Mum. Yum!" Her kindness knows no bounds when it comes to mama's cooking. She's an eager eater, this one, and ne'er a complaint I've yet to hear about my offerings to her.
Oh, I can hardly wait to share all of the garden goodness with her! And with her crawling around anywhere and everywhere, she could use all the extra energy she can get (
Mama could use some extra energy, too).
It's especially lovely that her mother feeds her good, pure food. Now that is real love!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post. Makes me miss those (recent) days when no-one said "yuck" at what I put down before them at mealtimes.

ReplyDeletem.
What a beautiful post...
ReplyDeleteIt all looks good enough to eat! I'm glad your little sweetie is such a good eater. Since you have been exposing her to lots of different foods, she probably always will be! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so sweet how you delight in cooking for your baby. My first child was such an eager eater, and I loved making his food myself. Such quiet, lovely days.
ReplyDeleteDelicious looking spread. What a mamma!
ReplyDeleteI made 90% of our baby food. She has been such an adventuresome eater. The other night she ate all of the asparagus I picked out of the garden. I firmly believe that we make our kids the eaters they are. And, yes that rice spinach does look tasty. I think we'd like that.
ReplyDeleteYou are all incredibly sweet and encouraging! Thank you :)
