This baby of mine loves to eat! She sits with us every meal, chatting away with "um-mum-mum" and "ma-ma-mums," practicing her food picking-up skills, and generally just being delightful.
She's transitioning from finger to spoon, although mama's finger is often still the preferred mode of food-to-mouth transportation.
To mark this special time (and also because chatty table babies are very messy eaters in need of quick cleaning up after every meal), I made her a new little cotton bib and a couple washcloths. I'm slowly working on a few more of each, but these will serve us well in the meantime.
The washcloth pattern is from here, and the bib from here. I learned how to knit cables by watching this video. I just use a straight knitting needle instead of the special cable needle, and it works fine for me!
Oh, we should all enjoy food with this much wonder and merriment, don't you think?
